Spirituality and Psychotherapy
“We do not become enlightened by imagining figures of light but by making the darkness conscious” – Carl Jung
I have a special interest in working with those on a spiritual path or path to self realization and the scope of therapy to understand and work with the unconscious processes which may hinder our ability to abide in full consciousness. I work with those who have either become stuck or who are currently navigating spiritual transformation and are finding the process confusing or overwhelming.
The spiritual path is often lengthy and requires a firm commitment to continuing transformation at the deepest levels. Therapeutic input can help you to stay focused and to work through any difficult thoughts, feelings or behaviors which can arise or keep you feeling stuck. The process of spiritual change is uncertain and it can be helpful to have guidance through some of the more unknown aspects of the journey.
The path to the true self is unique for each of us and while there are many differences in how we experience spiritual changes, there are also many common themes which can be helpful to explore and understand more deeply. I can help you to uncover and let go of inner blocks to a more integrated sense of self. I will help you discover that which you have always known so you can experience the freedom of living more fully from the true self and bringing your unique gifts and purpose to the world.
